New drawing on a page of a beautiful old antique French dictionary. I'm aiming to fill all the pages of the dictionary with a drawing, so its going to be a longterm project, added to over the coming months.
The page is on the F's ('fauconniere' to 'favori'), including the antique book illustrationof a faux (scythe). This is an original drawing, titled Night Hawk.
The page has been ripped out of the book, so has a raw edge to the side.
The sketch was drawn with pencil and inktense inks, white ink and graphite. On the bottom of the page is my monogram "PG" crest printed in silver. It is signed on the bottom and dated 2011.
